On March 21-22, 2023, the delegation of Ukraine, consisting of Oleksandr GRYZODUB and Natalia VOLOVYK (Director and Deputy Director for Quality of the Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopoeial Center for Quality of Medicines, respectively) took part in the 175th meeting of the European Pharmacopoeia Commission online.
Key points:
• Starting from the 12th edition (to be published in July 2025), support for the printed version of the Ph. Eur. will be discontinued
• Technical guide for the elaboration of monographs on medicinal products containing chemically defined active substances has been approved
• Guide for the elaboration of monographs on herbal drugs and herbal drug preparations has been approved
• Observer status in the European Pharmacopoeia Commission has been granted to the Kyrgyz Republic
• Changes in the work plans and a series of monographs have been approved
