On December 14th, an online webinar was hosted by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM) to introduce the new Ph. Eur. Cannabis Flower Monograph (3028). This event was attended by Elina KOTOVA, Head of the Department of Experimental Support for the Development of Monographs on Herbal Drugs at the Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopoeial Center for Quality of Medicines, and her colleague Tetiana YURCHENKO.
Keynote speakers featured Mr. Bruno Spieldenner, leading the Division of Chemical Substances and Products, Herbals, and General Methods at EDQM, and Dr. Jaume Sanz-Biset, the Scientific Programme Officer at the European Pharmacopoeia Department, EDQM. Their insights offered a comprehensive understanding of the new Cannabis Flower monograph, along with relevant Ph. Eur. texts pertinent to herbal products. This webinar was particularly significant for stakeholders and professionals seeking to adapt to the monograph’s implementation set for July 1, 2024.
