On December 19, 2023, a joint meeting of the Committee of Experts on Quality and Safety Standards in Pharmaceutical Practices and Pharmaceutical Care (CD-P-PH/PC) and the Committee of Experts on Minimising Public Health Risks Posed by Falsification of Medical Products and Similar Crimes (CD-P-PH/CMED) of the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM) was held in Strasbourg, the French Republic, via video conference. Natalia VOLOVYK, Deputy Director for Quality of the Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopoeial Center for Quality of Medicines, took part as the Ukrainian delegate.

The meeting of the PS/CMED Expert Committees was organized to exchange information on the committees’ activities, increase the effectiveness of communication between them and accelerate decision-making on a number of documents designed to promote the safe and effective use of medicines.

The committees’ heads presented the activities and main results of the work of the respective committees, and the people responsible for individual projects provided reports on their implementation. The delegates discussed issues that arose during the implementation of the committees’ projects.

– Recommendation on best practices for the remote and online provision of medicines

– CMED's dedicated item on the communication project

– Initiative related to the borderline products
