We are delighted to share insights from the participation of the Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopoeial Center for Quality of Medicines in the recently concluded Joint USP-EDQM Symposium on Pharmaceutical Reference Standards. Since 2012, our enterprise has been a consistent participant in the recurring event.
This time, our company was represented by Dmytro LEONTIEV, Elina KOTOVA, Natalia VOLOVYK, Svitlana CHYKALOVA and Tetiana YURCHENKO, who have extensive experience and expertise in the establishment of reference standards of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine. Their participation highlighted the Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopoeial Center for Quality of Medicines’ commitment to international collaboration and our ongoing efforts to contribute to the global discourse on pharmaceutical quality and safety.
The event, held at the USP headquarters in Rockville, USA, on September 27-28, 2023, facilitated a global dialogue on the pivotal role and diverse applications of pharmaceutical reference standards.
The symposium brought together a diverse group of stakeholders from around the world, providing a platform for sharing experiences and views on the establishment, characterisation, and use of reference standards. Key focus areas included the role of compendial reference standards in the pharmaceutical lifecycle, their use, development and characterisation, with an emphasis on reference standards for biologicals and small molecules, as well as regulatory expectations and harmonisation across different regions.
