It is worth noting that during the previous meeting on June 26, 2024, attended by Deputy Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control, Gennadiy Vovk, the Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopoeial Center for Quality of Medicines identified the digitalization of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine as one of the company's priority development areas.

At the current meeting, participants discussed both the long-term development strategy of the SPhU and specific near-term actions, including the preparation of Supplement 8 and the third edition of the SPhU. Particular attention was given to the concept of creating an electronic version of the SPhU and the gradual phasing out of the paper version. Several possible approaches for its implementation were presented, as well as an evaluation of potential benefits and risks, technical challenges, and necessary resources. Additionally, the feasibility of providing free access to the electronic version of the SPhU was discussed.

The participants agreed to continue discussions on these issues in future meetings.
