On August 29-30, 2024, at the invitation of the training center "UKRMEDCERT," Dmytro LEONTIEV, PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Senior Researcher, and Deputy Director for Science at the Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopeia Center for Quality of Medicines, conducted a webinar on Standardization, Metrology, and Statistics in Chemical Analysis. The Concept of Uncertainty – Approach of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine (SPhU).
The event was attended by over 120 specialists from Ukraine and the Baltic countries, including 96 representatives from the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control, including department heads and top management. This high level of participation highlights the significant interest in the webinar's topic and underscores the importance of learning from the leading experts in the field of medicinal product standardization. Undoubtedly, the specialists from the Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopeia Center for Quality of Medicines are leaders in this field, being responsible for the development of the State Pharmacopeia of Ukraine — the national quality standard for medicines.
The webinar participants had a unique opportunity to receive valuable insights and answers to pressing questions directly from the developer of key SPhU texts such as Validation of Analytical Procedures and Tests and Statistical Analysis of Chemical Test Results. These texts have no analogues in other leading pharmacopoeias worldwide, further emphasizing the high level of expertise of the specialists at the Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopeia Center for Quality of Medicines.
It is important to note that the training for representatives of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control is provided free of charge, even though similar events are fee-based for other attendees. This highlights our openness to collaboration and our commitment to enhancing the professional level of state authorities, despite the absence of state financial support. It also demonstrates our enterprise’s ability to successfully overcome financial challenges as an independently functioning organization.
