On 25-26 November 2021, State Enterprise “Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopoeial Center for Quality of Medicines” hosted a virtual scientific conference “THE STATE PHARMACOPOEIA OF UKRAINE – EUROPEAN QUALITY OF DOMESTIC MEDICINES” dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine (SPhU).
Dr Natalia Volovyk, Deputy Department Head of the Validation and Reference Standards Department at Scientific Pharmacopoeial Center for Quality of Medicines, was invited as a keynote speaker to the training webinar on the use of reference standards in the pharmaceutical analysis targeted at students at the Maharishi Markandeshwar University (MM University) in Sadopur, India.
A re-certification audit of the management system for compliance with the requirements of DSTU ISO 9001:2015 "Quality management systems. Requirements" (ISO 9001:2015, IDT) was conducted at the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopoeial Center for Quality of Medicines" on July 01-02, 2021, by the State Enterprise "Kharkiv Regional Research and Production Center for Standardization, Metrology and Certification".
Eurachem week 2021 took place from May 17th to 21st in Prague, Czech Republic, within which a 3-day scientific online workshop entitled "Trends and Challenges in Ensuring Quality in Analytical Measurements" was held.
On April 6, 2021, Vasyl Petrus defended the thesis on the topic "Organization of analytical procedure transfer at a pharmaceutical enterprise" for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (scientific advisor – Dmytro Leontiev, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Senior Researcher). The work was carried out at State Enterprise "Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopeial Center for Quality of Medicines", National Pharmaceutical University and PJSC SIC "Borshagivskiy CPP".
The uncertainty concept is a recognized scientific basis for the quality assurance of analysis results. Under the ISO 17025 guide, compliance with which becomes mandatory for official medicine quality control laboratories, uncertainty assessment is necessary for any quantitative determination and, therefore, extremely relevant for medicine manufacturers.
On February 9, 2021, the Certification Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine awarded the scientific title of Senior Researcher to Natalia Volovyk, Ph.D., Deputy Head of the Department of Validation and Reference Standards.
