On June 4, 2024, a meeting of the Union of Rectors of Kharkiv Region and the North-Eastern Scientific Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was held at Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, dedicated to Science Day. Attendees included Volodymyr PONOMARENKO, Rector of the Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, Oleh SYNYEHUBOV, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, and Volodymyr SEMYNOZHENKO, Ukrainian public and political figure, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
During the event, Volodymyr SEMYNOZHENKO presented Dr Dmytro LEONTIEV, Deputy Director for Science at the Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopoeia Center for Quality of Medicines, with a Commendation from the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for his significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian science, dedicated work, and support for scientific and educational activities in Ukraine under current conditions and on the occasion of Science Day.
As Academician V. SEMYNOZHENKO noted, "Despite all difficulties, our Kharkiv remains a leading scientific center of Ukraine."
