As previously reported, the first meeting of the working group took place on August 23, 2024. The group was established in accordance with the directive of the Minister of Health of Ukraine, Viktor Liashko, dated December 29, 2023, No. ДМ64/6-23, and approved by the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control’s order dated August 19, 2024, No. 1268.
Working meetings continued on September 10, 20, and 27, 2024, during which members of the working group focused on further development of draft regulatory acts and guidelines. Members of the group submitted proposals and comments to a special online platform, which were then discussed during the meetings.
Specialists from the Ukrainian Scientific Pharmacopoeial Center for Quality of Medicines, including Natalia VOLOVYK, Elina KOTOVA, Nelya KYSHYNETS, and Olha TYMCHENKO, actively participated in the development of the documents. They made significant comments and suggestions regarding terminology, all of which were fully approved by the working group.
Meeting outcomes:
- Completion of the draft Guidelines of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine "Medicinal Products. Good Pharmacy Practice."
- Preparation of the Procedure for verifying compliance with licensing conditions for business entities engaged in wholesale and retail trade of medicinal products.
- Finalization of the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on amendments to the licensing conditions for pharmacy operations, regulating their location.
- Preparation of the draft order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on amendments to the Sanitary and Anti-Epidemic Regulations for pharmacies.
All of these drafts have been submitted to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for consideration.
The draft Guidelines of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine "Medicinal Products. Good Pharmacy Practice" will be made available for public discussion.
